The BJORK.maxi vase features a simple, tubular silhouette defined by warm-white birch-like streaks, achieved through a proprietary glazing technique. The BJORK collection draws inspiration from the birch tree—the very material used for our unique furniture and a species with which we share a special bond. The vase’s cream-and-brown color palette offers a striking yet harmonious contrast, allowing it to blend seamlessly into any space or décor style.
Its natural glaze is inspired by the hues of birch bark, combining cream and brown tones that contrast yet complement one another beautifully. With organic proportions reminiscent of a tree trunk and a minimalist form, the collection suits both contemporary and classic interiors.

While Wood Republic operates globally, we remain a workshop deeply rooted in the local community. We value the artistry and manual skill of craftspeople; consequently, the entire BJORK series is handmade on the potter’s wheel at Emilia Skiba’s studio. It is there that each vessel takes shape, evolving from an initial sketch into a finished piece.

All furniture is made in our carpentry shop from certified raw materials, and the wood surface is impregnated with natural oilwaxes.
Three Steps
Dimension
Check whether the piece’s overall dimensions (height, width, depth) suit your needs. If not, we can easily scale the entire unit up or down proportionally while preserving its form.
Functionality
Consider whether there is anything specific you would like to fit into the furniture’s original modules (open shelves, cabinets or drawers). If so, and the chosen module turns out to be the wrong size, we will redesign the piece to accommodate everything you need. We always strive—whenever possible—to preserve the furniture’s original form.
Color
Choose from our range of oil-wax finishes for the wood. We use a clear wax to preserve the birch plywood’s natural color, though a variety of darker shades are also available. You can select the color for the metal frames or cube elements in our wood-and-steel furniture designs. If you like the colors we have already used, simply let us know which piece of furniture you prefer. Alternatively, if the furniture needs to match other interior elements—such as the walls—just provide us with the specific RAL or NCS color code.
